Enzymes: the keys to digestive health

Eighty million Americans suffer from digestive problems on a daily basis, and special diets have become the norm.  I see this as many of my clients struggle with impaired digestion on a daily basis. I am writing to you today to share the story of enzymes which many believe to be the next wave of wellness in the digestion category.

Many of you are no stranger to the digestive plague whose disorders and diseases have become epidemic in North America—Statistics show that over $100 billion a year is spent on medical treatment for digestive concerns and $10 billion dollars alone for OTC and prescription antacids. Heartburn drugs are the top selling OTC and prescription medications in this country. While these medicines may treat the symptoms momentarily, they fail to address the underlying and systemic issues plaguing the millions of Americans who seek them out.

The solution, I believe, is simple. It’s something made by our bodies and found in fresh wholesome foods and supplements. Enzymes, which occur naturally in the body are responsible for our digestive health. Nearly every action that takes place within us including digestion, immunity, and cellular repair requires the action of enzymes. As the certified Enzyme Expert store in our community, I’d like to offer you my qualified staff as a resource to help imporove your digestion.

Many of you are familiar with probiotic dietary supplements which contain the healthy bacteria found in yogurt. Probiotics have made the national headlines, but there is more to the story and the science is waiting to be shared. Probiotics fuel our digestion through their production of digestive enzymes. In other words, let’s help Americans go to the source of the digestive aid and encourage them to take enzymes directly!

Enzymes are crucial for healthy digestion and the absorption of nutrients, so enzyme supplements may potentially prevent the indigestion that plagues so many in our country. I believe that you, particularly the 80 million Americans who are suffering daily, will want to know more. I hope you agree.
