Got the sniffles, sinus congestion or cough?

Runny or stuffy nose, congestion and fatigue are common during the cold and flu season.  During this time of the year the immune system may be dependent on special (proteolytic) enzymes.

Mucus is defined as the clear viscid secretions of the mucus membranes, consisting of mucin, epithelial cells and leukocytes.  When germs that cause colds first infect the nose and sinuses, the nose produces clear mucus.  After two or three days, the body’s immune cells fight back, changing the mucus to a white or yellow color.  As the bacteria that live in the nose grow back, they may also be found in the mucus, which changes the mucus to a greenish color.  There are many things that can cause excess mucus besides the common cold or flu.  Among them are cold temperatures, seasonal allergies or medications.

MucoStop contains a blend of enzymes formulated to break down mucus, which supports the body’s ability to reduce histamine and alleviate sinus and chest congestion.  The active ingredient in MucoStop, mucolase, is a potent mucolytic enzyme that is effective at reducing mucus.  Mucolase is combined with protease and amylase, blended to assist in overcoming the symptoms often associated with sinus and chest congestion.

Special enzymes classified as proteolytic (breaks down protein) and mucolytic (breaks down mucus) are beneficial at breaking down mucus.  Not all proteases, however, can break down all proteins.  For example, a protease that is an effective digester of food protein will not be a good protease for mucus protein.  The mucus protein requires an enzyme classified as proteolytic and also mucolytic (breaks down mucus).  Mucolase stands alone in this category.

A common symptom of allergies is excess mucus.  MucoStop contains amylase Thera-blend to help the body reduce histamine levels and promote antihistamine qualities that may assist those with seasonal allergy symptoms.

Many of our clients have found MucoStop extremely helpful with coughs, colds and flu where they have excessive mucus or very thick irritating mucus that they cannot cough up or blow out their nose.

Two capsules 3 times a day 1 hour before meals or 2 hours after meals is the therapeutic dose, and many people experience relief within 24 hours.

Nutritional help for the thyroid

We now have in stock Innate Response has formulated two product to provide nutritional support for the Thyroid.

Thyroid Response Nutrient Factors

Thyroid Response Nutrient Factors was crafted exclusively to provide optimal nutrtion vital to maintaining metabolic function of the thyroid gland.  Thyroid function is dependent on a range of nutrients, including iodine, zinc, selenium, copper and amino acid l-tyrosine.  Selenium has been shown in research to have a role as a component in the conversion of T3; iodine and l-tyrosine are required in the production of thyroid hormones.  In addition to providing these vital nutrients, this concise formulation also provides additional supportive whole foods known to target and support thyroid health, as well as an immune blend, and plant-based enzymes to enhance bio-availability.  Poor nutrition is considered one of the causes of an under-active thyroid.  Thyroid Response Nutrient Factors contains the superior nutrition of 100% whole foods and minerals, specially targeted at promoting endocrine function.

Thyroid Response Estrogen Dominance

Thyroid Response Estrogen Dominance is designed specifically to target a thyroid response through the use of rejuvenative and adaptogenic botanicals, including ashwagandha, eleuthero root, guggul and holy basil, each known for their supportive action on thyroid gland function.  This targeted combination was formulated with chaste tree berry, an herb well-known to support pituitary function and therefore hormonal production.  Kudzu root was also included as a rich sorce of isoflavone compounds, including genistein and daidzein.  It is known that thyroid fluctuations develop more often during pregnancy, peri-menopause and menopause than at other times, suggesting that fluctuations in hormone levels may also act as a trigger.  As a result, an excess of estrogen with low progesterone (estrogen dominance) is often present with sub-clinical thyroid function.  Thyroid Response Estrogen Dominance is an unparalleled mix of 100% whole herbs and foods created to specifically promote balanced hormone function.
