Beat the Burn-fast relief for heartburn

Scientific data suggests, in Western populations, 25% of individuals experience heartburn at least once a month, 12% at least once a week, and 5% experience symptoms daily.  Based on current US population, these figures would indicate 77 million people suffering from symptoms of acid reflux at least once a month.  Although commonly attributed to excessive acid production, occasional heartburn is often a symptom of impaired digestion as a result of factors including lifestyle, diet, or genetics.  While many products are formulated to address symptoms, Acid Soothe contains natural digestive enzymes that work with your body to soothe indigestion and enhance your body's natural digestive process.

Enzymes are utilized by the body to break down foods for maximizing nutrient value.  Acid Soothe consists of botanical ingredients and beneficial plant-based enzymes to promote absorption of nutrients and help maintain digestive health.  Acid Soothe contains amylase, lipase, and cellulase Thera-blend enzymes to enhance carbohydrate, fat and fiber digestion.

Now available in delicious berry or chocolate mint flavored chews or veggie caps.

Interesting facts about Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs)

1.       Studies have shown that people who are using high-dose proton pump inhibitors or long-term use at a lower dose run the risk of increased fractures of the hip, wrist, and spine.
2.       Omeprazole taken along with Plavix can cause a significant reduction in Plavix activity.  This means that the anti-platelet activity can be reduced.
3.       Proton Pump Inhibitors used long term, usually more than 1 year causes a low serum magnesium level.  This can result in muscle spasms, irregular heartbeat, restless legs, bone density problems, constipation or racing heartbeat.
Many times when reflux or indigestion occurs, there are supportive measures that can be used to correct the digestive imbalance.  Decreasing stomach acid levels long term can create more problems than it cures.  There are instances where long term PPI therapy is appropriate, so do not discontinue their use without speaking with your practitioner.
Digestive enzymes, probiotics, liver support, bitters, dietary changes, lifestyle modifications can all aid in better digestion.  We   have found that with proper guidance many can eliminate their reflux, bloating, irritable bowel issues by getting back to basics.
Please feel free to stop in or contact us for more information.
